Depends on tone. Ich brauche Brot softly vs ICH BRAUCHE BROT angrily.

German can sound very aggressive, but it can also sound VERY non aggressive. I have some relatives in Germany including an Oma and Oppa (grandma and grandpa) & holy SHIT they sound like the sweetest pair of old people you’ve ever heard. Calm, neutral conversational German also sounds fairly gentle typically, though of course a more negative tone or certain accents like Austrian can make it sound harsher. Also, fun fact, the German version of “ow” or “ouch” is literally “owwa”, it’s adorable lol

I keep seeing this German middle aged man on ig reels who is just chilling in a pond with swans behind him and his voice sounds so nice, he does English versions sometimes and it’s basically just him saying “I hope you have a great day”

The first exposure that a lot of Americans get to hearing German is unfortunately a very famous person who did a lot of very aggressive speeches

So your answer’s disagree because it’s not inherently aggressive!
