I’d say especially and almost exclusively that the death is justified. Who’s out here fantasizing about murdering people who don’t deserve it?

Yup. If I ever see him, it’s on sight with whatever object is closest to me. Doesn’t matter where. :)

It’s usually more of a “what if” scenario.

I'd say that this scenario is impossible because there's basically nothing that could justify or mean they deserve murder.

Certainly nothing all of these poll respondents experienced and no this kind of planned killing is never justifiable for any reason. An individual cannot decide that someone else deserves to die.

I never said murder, I said killing. Fantasizing about stopping a school shooter or something would be perfectly justifiable.

I wasn't responding to you, was I? But a planned, intentional killing is a murder and nothing ever gives a person that right and the state probably shouldn't do it either but at least with the state it's like a community decision and not just personal vendettas. If it's stopping killing or fighting in a war sure, not just I hate that mf over there and i say he deserves to be killed. Even the ethics of war of course are debatable.

If you truly believe that absolutely NOTHING justifies murder/killing, let alone fantasizing about murder/killing, then you’re either weirdly absolutist or you lack imagination.

Just trying to make sure you know I was intentional with my wording brotato. I think #1 just said “murder” in the last sentence when he meant “killing”.

Eh. Sort of. Think I used murder in that case bc of the heavier connotation of the word? They’re easily interchangeable, tho.

Not quite. Murder, by definition, is unjust and unlawful, and that’s a major distinction. But I got what you meant.
