It provides a safer way for people to do something that would happen with or without OF existing.

It’s neutral. Onlyfans is not a considerable net positive or negative force on society.

Neutral. Good and bad.

I don’t think the world would “stop spinning” if it were to disappear tomorrow. And honestly, good

But it also normalises the action and exponentially increases the amount of people doing it

Unfortunately puberty makes you horny, and that will lead to black markets of this being created regardless. It’s like claiming Breaking Bad popularized drug dealing and normalized it by glorifying it. Like… no, and it was gonna exist anyway.

No it’s like claiming that drug dealing popularises drugs. Because it does. Paying for onlyfans is not something normal teens do it’s something losers do

Yes but my point is those same losers still exist, and they’d just turn to unofficial means to get similar content. Because it’s their kink or wtv. The point is that black markets will always exist for illegal things. Fun fact this is a similar argument people use to arguing for legalizing drugs, and the statistics support this argument

NO THEY WOULDNT DO IT BECAUSE THEY WOULDNT HAVE EVER HEARD OF THAT SHIT.

I’m not saying talking about onlyfans is bad, I’m saying onlyfans is bad. BEING THE DEALER SPREADS THE DRUG. Every statistic in the world will tell you that

Dude onlyfans only existed circa 2016. Before that time what do you think people were doing lol? It’s just supply/demand. Fun fact again, onlyfans did not start as an adult content creation site. It only became such because the demand and supply said it would.

Pornography is literally just a natural thing that underwent its natural evolution. Even in ancient times people drew erotic images and shared them and… well, you get the picture. The entire industry only exists because people wanted it because it’s a natural impulse. The most committed of the bunch wanted private content, so they got the private content, and they’ll get their private content. That’s just how society works

It’s not porn it’s paid for porn. It’s not normally, and it wouldn’t exist if it didn’t exist. The poll is asking what if it didn’t exist. If it didn’t exist, it wouldn’t exist. And these creeps would be better off because 90% of the people that use that shit aren’t depraved enough to go digging around for whatever dark web sites offer the same service

So you’re saying that free porn is better than porn where the money goes directly to the creators, many of whom are women?

I’m confused at if you’re arguing against paid porn or porn in general… Regardless, I still believe porn is generally a neutral thing to society. It honestly has real benefits and real drawbacks, and just as with all corrupt bureaucratic industries, I’d love it to become a more ethical industry

I think OF is awesome. I was able to pay rent during the pandemic because of it. I created some erotic art, people were happy to pay me for it, and everyone ended up better for it. I’m not a consumer because it doesn’t turn me on, but I’m thankful that OF and similar sites have democratized access and taken the power and money away from the awful people who generally run the porn industry and abuse and take advantage of women.

Great I think it’s horrible and it allows an addiction to take money out of peoples pockets. But I’m glad you didn’t have to work a real job like I did

How do you think free porn is made? By exploiting everyone involved. Pay for what you watch, read and listen to and the creators benefit. Get it for free and everyone is taken advantage of.

No free porn is made the same way movies tv and YouTube videos are made

If there’s exploitation it’s an organisational problem not a systematic problem

It’s literally a systemic problem there is a problem in the system of the organization. That’s what makes it an organizational problem. Also the exploitation is literally baked into the media. You’re filming someone nude (usually). Do you know how easy it is to entrap someone when you do that? Really damn easy.

In your examples, YouTube is like onlyfans because it’s creator-driven. “Free” porn is like reality TV or Jerry Springer talk shows where the guests are exploited and barely compensated.

No only fans is not like YouTube because it’s paid media. You’re looking at it from the perspective of your own profits. But you asked about society, and most of society is on the viewing end

Great argument 4. It’s not a systematic problem it’s an organisational problem. If you don’t know what that means, it’s not my problem

Dude. I literally just explained to you how the problem with the system itself leads to it being a problem with EVERY organization. Recording someone nude allows for easy exploitation and entrapment. Enough said.

You’re recording a video of the purpose of uploading it you can’t exploit that

Also you can make your own prong profile and upload your own videos. Who the hell is dumb enough to sign up for a studio?

It isn’t a matter of “dumb enough,” it is a matter of uploading your own porn to pornhub being unlikely to make any money at all forcing people to sign with studios to make a living. Only Fans lets individuals actually earn money themselves on their own terms. I have personal reservations about the porn industry as a whole, but I think that OF is about as “good” a service in the field as there could be.

And regardless how I or anyone else feels about it, porn can’t be gotten rid of, humans have been selling video erotica since video became widely available and before that it written and drawn erotica was still sold. You can look at the alcohol prohibition for an example of what happens when mainstream avenues for partaking in a common vice are removed, consumption rates don’t really go down it just becomes more dangerous.

No dude uploading your own stuff onto pornhub is the best way to make money on pornhub. The studios aren’t a good way to make money, they’re just an old middleman and if they could exist on free porn they could exist on onlyfans. The only reason they don’t is because of organizational culture

Okay I think it is pretty clear now that you don’t know anything about Pornhub. Pornhub themselves in their 2026 “How to Make Money on Pornhub” page say “we encourage all Models to add 3rd party links to their profile . . . to build your fanbase and create multiple revenue streams on other fansites” acknowledging that amateur Pornhub videos are mostly just useful for advertising an OF/Fansly/etc rather than an actually viable way to make money.

Getting actual numbers, this is the PH free porn pay rates. $70 before taxes for 100k monthly views which is a lot of views, and you’d need 145k monthly views just to make a benjamin a month off PH.

Yeah that makes sense. Most people can’t make money off of videos there aren’t enough viewers in the world. The only way you can make money is by exploiting a porn addiction and charging pay per view
