If i understand the complaints, originally, it meant aware of injustices perpetrated on yourself/your-group, but has been appropriated to also include awareness of injustices upon others

I'm left leaning (wouldn't call myself a liberal), but when I hear "woke" i think of far leftists

I also feel like this could refer to just being aware of the harshness of the world around you too. Like, everything is *not* daijobu, and being ignorant of those wrongs is why people who are (ignorant) call those who aren’t “woke” Sorry. Ik that was confusing
