I think they should be long but not infinite. Maybe 12 or 15 years

Yes. Every other office has to constantly do what will make them look good in order to maintain power, while the judges are able to actually do what they think is best. Plus, it keeps whatever major party that is currently less powerful in office to some extent, and having some influence from both parties stops us from becoming a communist or fascist state. We don’t want one party to gain limitless power just bc of some temporary trend.
