The friend group breaks up because the couple in the friend group has a bad break up. You are still cool with everyone but you choose a side. Can you still be friends/hang out with the other part of the friend group without the couple knowing?

There may be tension but the couple doesn’t own anyone and if the other side is chill with you being there, there’s no issue!

This isn't going to be a popular comment but you're probably going to end up picking a side, intentionally or not. It's not really possible to be true friends with both sides because you can't support conflicting interests if you want something deeper than a surface level friendships with both. "A friend to all is a friend to none."

I had to deal with this a month ago, my remaining friends with the both of them eventually helped them reconcile as friends, not as a couple anymore, but the friend group is back together bc I didn’t care that they weren’t friends. I still was.
