I would probably only tell my best friend so that they’d know the money wasn’t from anything shady when I pay off their student loans but after that I’d pay off my own, buy a modest enough house that won’t need major renovations in the next decade, invest enough in some kind of like, IRA or some shit to afford the property tax, and donate the rest either through very specific vetted charities or through mutual aid depending on how anonymous I’d be able to stay.

Probably my family and then like 2 of my best friends. Most of the fun of money is traveling, and I would want to travel with them without them feeling like they need to split everything evenly.
