The Lake of the Ozarks is a major commercialized lake. It’s one of the biggest tourist vacation spots in Missouri. So yeah there are a lot of docks and restaurants/bars right on the water. But I will say that lake is pretty long, and there’s lots of private coves that haven’t been industrialized. But if you go boating up through the main channel it’s docks and mansions everywhere
