Gas prices are still lower than they were under Biden… and we’re taking down a third of the modern Axis for slightly higher gas temporarily. Do you know what our grandparents would have done if they could’ve defeated Japan for the price of losing well under a hundred troops and just having to pay for slightly higher gas for a few months? Inflation raises prices. That is why prices rose so much under Biden. The only way to lower prices would be considerable deflation (which we would need a recession to get) or a major increase in supply. So at this point, prices are going to stay high until a recession or a change in supply. Maybe AI will bail us out. But yeah in summary, four years of incompetent economic policy has lasting consequences.
