My skipping class would be either: I get to the school sooo late for first period that I just sit in my car and wait for second, or: i didn’t want to go to gym so when the teacher wasn’t looking I’d sneak out to the cafeteria and hang out with my friends in that period.

Yeah sorta same. My one friend and I had like half our classes together senior year including gym and we never went to that but we’d still be in the school somewhere either random hallways or there were a handful of teachers that were chill and didn’t care so we’d go there. But towards the end of the day I’d dip with my friends that had early release
