it’s all capitalism and consumerism. Yeah idc what wirecutter says, apple took it out in order for people to have to buy new chargers and also earbuds/airpods (my god i miss when they gave the earbuds too).

Its the reason they SAID they did it. Critical thinking tells anyone with a brain that they make more money if you need to buy a separate charger from them with your device (which obviously will keep going up in price regardless), and realistically #3 is right, theyre not gonna make any less chargers theyre gonna make more boxes to sell them separately and make more non electronic waste which defeats the purpose of the selected cover story
