I tried getting off medication, lived a very active lifestyle with lots of friends and joy. But at the end of the day, I have a chemical imbalance in my head that makes it so I can’t ever self-impose regulation. With my meds+lifestyle I’m the best I’ve ever been

it’s different for everyone, some people can’t make improvement even WITH medication and may require electroconvulsive therapy but yes, many cases of depression can be treated without medication

I have depression and I have for a long time without meds but, I don’t think it really ever goes away it just lessons. For example, I don’t feel depressed rn and haven’t for weeks.

there isn’t “ALWAYS” a way to treat any medical problem. medicine doesn’t work in absolutes.

Those things cannot cute depression, but they do help at least a bit
