Sadly that can’t happen in today’s world the reason why old people are taking up all these entry level or student jobs is because they themselves can’t make enough at the end of the day. Truly shows you how fucked we are so pls don’t be a dick to people just because they have jobs and you don’t. Everyone’s just trying to eat at the end of the night

You should invest starting young and also if they're working taco bell at that age idk if they can afford for investing or retirement to be in their mind

Hearing ab it is different and very often it's super easy to act on. I've used Vanguard to make a Roth ira retirement account in less than 30 min and signed life insurance papers two days ago for a fixed rate. Much cheaper the younger you are, I turned end of March. It's doing these small things now that could save you from what you described in your post. Ppl make them some sound more complicated than they are but it's very important to do this stuff as early as possibly for maximum value

My mom is a nut (not wholly derogatory) and had my sister and I purchasing stocks at 7 using Computershare, auto reinvesting dividends so they've been growing for 12 years. Haven't checked the statement recently but it's a good ammnt of value for not having to do anything. Pls don't sleep on these things, set yourself up 🫶
