When I was retileing my bathroom, I used to do fun stuff with the little bit of extra mortar at the bottom of the bucket when I was finished with the batch. One of my favorite ones was I took two trimmed extra tiles and made an ice cream sandwich, mortar for the ice cream. I still have it.
