Can someone tell me they also have severe checking ocd?? I constantly am checking things like certain tabs on my phone to make sure they're still open for example. Or my to do list. It's like an itch but checking once doesn't help. I have to do it lots

Pls seek therapy and maybe meds. I’ve been going to therapy for like seven years now and I started taking meds in college(I was on Zoloft), I was on the meds for two years then I stopped because it made me realize that I need to work on my mental health naturally without the use of medicine(it did work) but it felt more like I was concealing my problems rather than actively working on them. Constantly checking things will actually make your ocd worse, trust me. The more you give into compulsions

Ugh the unfortunate thing is I'm very anti medicine. I won't even take it for a cold

the more you will start overthinking other things. OCD is a perfectionistic disorder so you literally have to be comfortable with being imperfect. I haven’t had a bad spiral moment via ocd in a very long time and that’s due to me working on myself.

That’s actually probably your ocd talking too. I was very anti medicine too until it helped me. Ppl don’t realize that medicine doesn’t have to be permanent for ocd it’s just how long you decide to be on it. I was only on it for two years, Zoloft helps you cope with your thoughts better, then once you stop taking it you just continue to not let the thoughts get to you.

Exactly. OCD is always illogical and its impulsive. You have to differentiate the illusion from your rational mind. If you know you checked it once stay stern in that. OCD is self doubt. Trust me I literally used to overthink everything. I even used to associate certain thoughts with individuals if I got a random thought about them. But later in life I realized that none of it made sense.
