Anyone else struggle with insomnia due to obsessive thoughts? Like I can’t let go of shit no matter how long ago it was. And it keeps me up all night. I can’t shut my brain off. What meds are y’all on for this.?
I’ve gotten used to having music playing when I sleep, it helps with the thoughts but also any auditory hallucinations that I’m not able to convince myself aren’t there

I'm not on meds, it just gets to the point where I legit have no energy left to care. And I try to keep that mindset even when I do start thinking about the past.

Sometimes I forget this can be an OCD symptom. I always feel bad for AGES even if it was something super small and was forgiven

Some nights I convince myself I’m going to randomly die in my sleep so I just stay up 💀

But if you do need meds, you can get an antidepressant or antianxiety med that also helps you sleep like mirtazapine

I’m so sorry for your loss. Btw I’m not currently medicated but I’ve found that specific obsession is helped a lot when I have my partner sleeping in bed with me. I know if I had some kind of medical emergency she’d be able to help me

I get that completely. Luckily I left that life behind long ago before I could hurt anyone with that rhetoric but having grown up that way also still affects me to this day😑
