that's how I felt about it until I found the right name. I still have an attachment to it and don't really feel like it's my "deadname" really

I mean I remember as a kid I met a girl with my name and I thought that was crazy, now I’m glad I have a name that is used by both genders cause I just don’t feel like changing it and that removes a lot of hassle

Yes like my birth name is unique but it just doesn’t fit me. Meanwhile the name I chose is only feminine slightly in spelling but generally more neutral which feels better

totally valid. My chosen name kinda landed in my lap. The only name I went looking for is a last name because my dad sucks.
