
I think recognizing it is a great first step. I would say everything you see someone and get that thought, stop the thought and ask yourself why you got it? Are they presenting too femme in your opinion? I’d it their makeup? Then just remind yourself that there is no right way to be non binary and they are valid, then try and let it go. Don’t keep dwelling on their presentation and don’t dwell on any emotions of like, guilt or anything you might have
so society tells us women look like “this” and men look like “that”, over time our consistent consumption of the biased medias of our society implicitly (unknowingly) affects how we see ourselves and others. its not your fault! knowing there is a bias is actually the first step in fixing the problem, so you’re right on track! now find ways to change your language as you hear those thoughts come up and inevitably bias = disappeared!
