Hot take I actually don’t think the Lions are dead… yet. I think deep down they know they gotta do something this free agency and will. Draft an o lineman like proctor. Hutch will improve off last season. Offense will stay strong. Cont. in comments

Losing Kerby is a huge blow but hopefully Branch will be back and healthy. My only concern is our new OC. I don’t like that hire but there’s so much talent on offense I can’t see it being a huge problem. Keep in mind I’m not saying Super Bowl I’m saying I think playoffs are likely

They have pieces but they practically have to rebuild the entire OL and I doubt they’re able to do that while filling holes on defense. Their best bet is 3rd in the division assuming 9 stays generationally bad & they don’t sign/trade for another QB. I just don’t see them being a true contender rn but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re able to jumpstart a mini rebuild once they’re off Goff’s contract.

Fixing the oline will be tough. They need some more pieces on defense too if they want to win a playoff game. Then we have to worry about the new OC ruining Goff

I think they can do better than 3rd in the division but I agree it’ll be challenging. But also with a last place schedule next year, Another piece added to the OLine. Still got Gibbs and St Brown on O and Hutch on D. And Goff is a fine game manager he definitely wasn’t the reason for our shortcomings last year and I’ll die on that hill
