You would need large sample sizes from men who have played football for an extensive period and those who have not to even make this argument

I agree. I despise fans that think the guardian cap “looks stupid” and “doesnt help”. If there’s even a small chance that it helps players retain cognitive function beyond football, why the fuck would you not wear it?
