Disagree to an extent. On one hand I love having more football in a season, on the other hand more games means a higher risk of injuries. If the NFL decides to expand to more games in a season they should definitely add a second BYE week

They going to be playing the Super Bowl in March then soon but more football is more football

18 games would the absolute maximum I’d go for a regular season. NFL supposedly wants to go all the way up to 20 games in the future

They still rested players during the last week in the 16 game format ?

I mean like not really? That usually only tends to apply to teams who have made the playoffs. That’s not really the same as a BYE week. Starters get rested but what about the backups? They’re players too. Doesn’t matter if it’s the last week of the season you’re at risk of an injury regardless

In my opinion more games would turn into a situation like the NBA where players sit out because the marginal utility of playing is less than sitting out
