The depth chart is that way because it was always going to be that way. The depth chart was always going to be the two vets in front, and the 2 rookies next, it doesn’t mean shit. I thought he was overrated for the longest time, until now when it’s swung so far in the opposite direction and people act like he isn’t an NFL QB. He realistically is a mid 2nd round QB, a guy that should get a chance to start at some point, and has a decent floor with low upside.
Very average doesn’t win you meaningful games anymore unless the owner is willing to spend a lot of money and the GM knows how to construct a super team. I find Shedeur to be similar to Teddy Bridgewater and even if he didn’t have all those injuries he wasn’t ever going to do anything crazy.
