Potentially hot take: imo the Broncos going for it on 4th down in the first half was the right decision, just not the right playcall

Ppl say they shouldn’t have gone for it bc they had a backup QB, but I think that’s exactly why they should’ve. The first half was as good as the Broncos’ offense was gonna be all game regardless of weather bc the Pats’ defense was adjusting and getting better

Weather made controlling first half time of possession more important. Without hindsight, even if they had to settle for a field goal after getting the first down, the time they took off the clock could’ve kept the Patriots from having as many drives.

AND there’s a good chance they get the TD if they make that first down because the Pats’ red zone defense is really bad
