If we keep 17 games a year (it used to be 16), and are also introducing so many international games now there is an obvious solution. 8 home games 8 away games and 1 international game a year. Divisional games can never be international. I’m a genius.

additionally one year the afc teams could be the “home team” and then it would rotate to the nfc then back to afc so teams aren’t randomly losing a home game

It wouldn’t be a home game for either team

That’s what they are doing now 🙄. The conference with the extra game is hosting the one with less for majority of international games this year

Yes I’m saying to the other guy that for the most part that’s what they are doing this year. AFC teams tend to be the “host” to NFC teams with a few expectations Yours is different I like your idea of since the extra game is already AFC vs NFC anyway just make it international, but also we really need to decrease the amount of international games not increase

Sorry I said it backwards the NFC is the host they have 9 home games this year. And NFC is host for every international game expect the two jags games but that’s just bc the jags love London

If we’re gonna have international games imo it’s better that it’s standardized so all teams play exactly 1 so it’s more fair sameish amount of fatigue and neither the AFC or NFC get an advantage any year

i was saying that cause only some teams are losing home games rn while others aren’t since not everyone is playing internationally so if this hypothetical were to come true it would be best if all afc teams lost a home game or all nfc teams lost a home game so one team in the conference wouldn’t have an advantage over another
