It literally doesn’t matter, the whistle is irrelevant if you knew the rules

It was whistled dead, but they also should have been awarded the 2 points. It was recovered in the endzone

Nobody “deserves” anything in the NFL, however Seattle was given the right call

Shouldn’t be, but it is

Why shouldn’t it be? The rules literally allow replay assist to help the officiating on the field when they get the wrong call. Regardless you can’t get fleeced when you give away the game when you’re up 16 with 8 minutes left. Rams choked, time to move on

Look at it more simply instead of getting into rule specifics, not a single person on that field was playing football when charbonnet picked up that ball, including charbonnet, and 2 points were put on the board. Rules need changed and often are. If anything can happen even after the whistle than the refs shouldn’t have a whistle and can’t throw flags because a player was roughing/blocking another player after a whistle was blown, which has happened multiple times before

Not a Rams fan and they deserved that loss for how they played the end of that game, but McVay and Stafford seem like they are respectable and have been in the league for a long time, even they were at a loss for words on what just happened
