I imagine the length is for cap reasons, regardless of that Kelce is still a pretty solid TE and I’d go as far as saying he’s still top 5. He may be slow but he knows how to get open and be efficient while doing so.

At least he was only given 12m guaranteed, but he should NOT have been given a contract with an average annual value higher than Kittle and McBride

kelce also had some costly drops when their season was still alive though. hard to justify keeping around a receiving TE who's slowing down and whose hands aren't as reliable.

While that may be true if he’s still a top guy at his position and a franchise legend I think it’s harder to make a case for parting ways with him than it is for resigning him especially considering that he’s Mahomes favorite target.
