Is it weird to have a secondary, out of conference team you root for? I say this because I know a giants fan who also roots for the patriots, apparently because when he was 6 and watched sb 46 he thought their uniforms and logo were cool

You can’t root for a team in the same conference as your main team but anything outside of that is acceptable and I think normal. for example I supported the colts last year

Depends but I root for the commanders and my brother roots for the panthers so I have a soft spot for them – I want them to have success for him yk?

It can’t be a team that your primary had some history with like that’s an unacceptable crossover. If it were like the Texans as a giants fan then sure, but NOT THAT

Obviously was a well indoctrinated giants fan at that point too

I’d argue other family members teams are cool unless they’re divisional rivals, or historic rivals like a cowboys niners. Like it’s not football but my dad roots for the lakers and I’m a sixers fan, but since they’re not really rivals I just go for both. I mean I spent the first 10-12 years of my life sleeping with a lakers blanket, i really should primarily root for the lakers it’s just harder to watch their games since i live in the Philly area

It’s weird cus as a fan of a team who’s also beat Brady in the Super Bowl I just find him a lot more likable than most. Like obviously not as far as rooting for the pats as a second team, I couldn’t care less about them post Brady, which I guess is still significant because everyone else just despises the team completely. Me personally I only rooted for the Seahawks to win the bowl cus i really like Kenneth Walker. It’s a shame he signed with the chiefs, now I gotta hate his guts

As a pats fan I kinda can’t stand Brady since he left the team idk it’s odd

I don’t really fw Donovan mcnabb or Carson Wentz either but then again neither of them brought my team 6 superbowls haha. But I could see how you wouldn’t necessarily be down with him I mean he really just kinda went bag chasing with gronk and set yall back 6 years

As a pats fan who’s friends with a few eagles fans, none of us would think this is okay
