It’s genuinely so stupid of the steelers. It accomplishes nothing for them but keep them in perpetual purgatory. They have absolutely no hope of being a truly competitive team in the playoffs, but the coaching and defensive talent will always keep them from being a truly low tier team, meaning they will never get to draft a high end QB prospect. Trade Watt and other aging vets, accept that this year with Rodgers will be pretty bad, and go after a QB in next year’s draft.
