Reminder that Hurts was losing 13-0 in a championship and was benched for Tua Turndaballova

Tua was a cheat code in college and was a top 5 pick because of it can’t really use a moment from his college career to evaluate his football one, especially since the same thing happened in the reverse order the next year when tua got benched in the sec championship and hurts led them to a comeback win then transferred to Oklahoma and finished second place in heisman voting

Yea but my point is hurts isnt the kinda guy to go win you a game outside of that one sec championship but georgia was in their choke era back then. Hurts usually cant go win you a game when his team isnt stacked

did you watch the eagles win on Sunday hurts is literally the reason they won that game. He’s absolutely the type to go win you a game. Rams had a 91% chance of winning when it was 26-7. Also like I said bringing college football into an nfl argument is pretty stupid. Bailey zappe has the single season ncaa record for passing yards and touchdowns. Surely he must be a good nfl quarterback right???

Hurts also beat the eventual one seed saints back in 2020 with a team around him that went 4-11-1

Zappe played literally no one in his conference. Hurts has only been on STACKED rosters his whole career

2020 and 2021 eagles were not stacked, neither was the 2023 squad that had a bottom 3 defense

Eagles are a bit of an inconsistent program like the rams, but even when they are great Hurts just isnt as dynamic as the other greats. He’s still good just not Josh or Lamar

So now they’re a bit of an inconsistent program, when before you said they’ve been insanely stacked every year hurts has been on the team. My guy I’m fine saying he’s not as good as Josh or Lamar I just need you to be consistent here

Fair point, what i was trying to say is that he never had to struggle. Every time he was on a bad team they magically got good the next year

He never had to struggle when he was trying to win games, maybe even win the somehow competitive division in 2020 when his coach was sabotaging him and benched him for like Nate sudfeld to tank for draft picks? Never had to struggle when his new OC literally won’t let him play like the qb he knows he is and he had to go to the sideline, chew him out and start audibling out of every terrible playcall so they could actually get something going and make a comeback down 26-7?

Just because he hasn’t had back to back bad teams doesn’t mean he hasn’t been through it

None of that affects his legacy though, people just look at the last 3 years

The part after the benched for draft picks happened on Sunday, and he’s been being held back for no reason all year
