Okay hear me out: Guy instigates fights with fighting words Guy 2 fucking stabs the guy. Guy 2 obviously goes to jail as he should. Guy 1 does too, for instigating a fight. Now instead of a fight imagine it’s a spit off. Guy 1 spits on the ground towards someone, breaking respect and instigating an altercation. Guy 2 spits on guy 1. Guy 2 gets ejected. Why do people praise guy 1?

What matters is escalating the situation where it didn’t call for it. If Jalen Carter had any class whatsoever he wouldn’t approach Dak to spit directly onto him after being instigated. Doesn’t matter what Dak did, because it wasn’t anywhere close to the action Carter did. Why are you claiming that both are equally at fault when their actions are fundamentally different?

Equally at fault is not at all what I’m saying. There’s a major difference between stabbing someone and starting a fight, just as there’s a difference between disrespecting a player and spitting on them. All I’m saying is that carters actions don’t negate what dak did. If we wanna criticize Carter, we should be willing to criticize dak too. For different things, obviously.
