Why do people hate Drake Maye? What did he do? Play for the Pats?

It’s just that he’s on the Pats. If he was on the Vikings or Giants or whoever, everyone would love him

Playing for the Pats is definitely part of it. The other part of it is Pats fans acting like he’s played well and has carried the team to the SB when it’s been nothing like that. Maye has not played well in the playoffs and got out played by Stidham in the AFCCG. Lastly, it doesn’t help that some Pats fans are legitimately comparing him to (prime) Brady which is a little ironic bc Brady also was carried by his defenses in the earliest stage of his career.

Ok he’s still had a great year though? I don’t think struggling in your first playoff appearance means he should be hated. Fans always shout hyperbole it happens all the time when a team has success. Also as for struggling in the playoffs he hasn’t been terrible by any means

I’m not saying that he should be hated, I’m saying that’s why he’s hated. People are also going to hate on the Pats bc they’re a very spoiled fanbase to go from one HOF QB and dynasty to another within a couple years while others don’t get to experience that. People also hate teams that win consistently, the Chiefs for example were once liked at the beginning of the Mahomes era and now they’re one of the more hated teams in the league.
