If Jalen hurts is the issue why did the offense work with no problems last year with Kellen Moore, or going 3 years back with Shane Steichen both HC’s now The two down years for hurts are with low end internal hire OC’s Brian Johnson and Kevin Patullo

To be clear he’s not a top 10 qb, but to pretend he is the root cause is wild. He did play terribly tonight though

So we’ve made the connection that the common denominator is Jalen Hurts but we somehow did not end up at the conclusion that maybe the issue is Jalen Hurts…I dunno

The flaw is that he’s somewhat limited as a passer meaning you need to have talent and creativity as a playcaller to have a successful offense than

He’s not as bad as he looked tonight but he’s also not as good as he looked in the Super Bowl

Correct you can’t just internally hire some bum and expect the same result

This offense has the pieces of a functional unit, but neither Patullo nor Sirianni have the brain cells to put it together

How could he be the issue if he’s had incredible success in the last 4 years I’m not saying he’s a NFL MVP best player in the league but he’s not the problem. Good OC good season SHIT OC SHIT season

Idk maybe because he stumbled his way onto one of the better eagles teams in recent memory, I’m just noticing a correlation with the eagles as a whole having a down year and Jalen Hurts just doesn’t have the ability to preform if he’s the “guy” if you get what I’m putting down. Just not really that skillful of a quarterback, probably just the on-brand version of CJ Stroud

I think ur just trying to say he’s not a top 10 qb which is fine but attributing all eagles problems to him is wild

He was the whole problem in this game they just played

He did play horrifically this game I will admit his worst game as an Eagle I think

However AJ did drop a touchdown, and did cause one of the INTS

He’s not limited at all, he’s actively been limited and held back by the coaching staff for the past 3 years ever since we lost the sb

He’s not a top flight passer, and never has been, his accuracy comes and goes, he has a propensity to throw hospital balls, and he’s hesitant to throw the ball into tight windows over the middle

He is so clearly limited, and to act like you can’t see it is insulting to everyone’s intelligence

He is not hesitant to throw the ball into tight windows over the middle, he literally is never afforded the opportunity to because the coaching staff is allergic to crossing routes. It’s like dividing by zero

You’re defending Kevin Patullo and you’re calling me insulting to everyone’s intelligence that’s rich

Who’s defending Patullo? The man is a moron who doesn’t deserve his job, if you look at my comment you’ll note that I said good coordinators can design a successful scheme around Hurts and his limitations with the implication being that Patullo isn’t a good OC because he hasn’t done that

Acting like Patullo is a smaller issue than hurts is defending him

The problem with the offense is that Patullo and Sirianni have two brain cells between them and thus can’t design a system capable of succeeding with the good but not great QB that is Jalen Hurts
