Proposal: if a division winner has a record below .500, that team doesn’t make the playoffs, and the spot goes to a 4th wildcard team

Also that would make division titles have no weight so it’s basically the NBA now

The division winner still makes the playoffs and has a higher seed than non division winners, unless that team has a losing record. As it currently stands, it is possible for a 3-14 team to make the playoffs
