Jared Goff didn’t play good last game but he is WAY better than Jalen Hurts as a QB, can’t tell me otherwise

Hurts is slightly better bc he’s not reliant on the play action pass

But he also has so many half field reads… I don’t watch film on the lions do you know if it’s the same for Goff? Also correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t hurts only statistically great when running play action? I know I saw some “film guru” instagram account say that

I’d say Goff struggles with reads bc once the run game gets stopped and they can’t spam PA passes he usually struggles making fast good passes and will hold the ball. Hurts does benefit from the run game but not necessarily traditional PA passes as he sucks at being under center. However when the run game is strong it sets up less 2 high looks and gives their receivers more 1on1 coverages which Hurts takes advantage of by throwing jump balls.

I do think both are not that far from each other in overall talent but Hurts IMO has a slightly better skill set that allows you to have a more expansive offense.

Bro, have you even watched the Lions this year? Goff has been successful even without the play action lol? His main problem is his pocket awareness isn’t great and he takes unnecessary sacks, but besides that he’s not that bad.

He can be successful without it but he still drops in performance when teams know he has to pass and the run game is gone. He also isn’t mobile making it easier to blitz him and that’s what Flores did
