based on their highest win probabilities throughout the games, the saints losing to both the rams and vikings had a 1.7% chance of happening. by the same metric, for just super bowl 51, the falcons had a 0.10% chance of losing. add in that the saints have also won a super bowl and they clearly aren't the unluckiest team.

Injuries are not luck. Certain players are more injury prone and playing next to a power station makes it soooo much worse

Imo the power station thing is probably bs, it’s way more likely to be the way Shanahan does practice/training that’s increasing injury risk. The unluckiness is more about the timing though imo

let's say he just gets a first down, so the momentum only kind of swings, and the seahawks score on that drive. that's not crazy, and might make it harder for the saints to come back. nobody would call that unlucky.
