Hot take: the reason the Detroit Lions were successful in 23/24 because they were the first team to adopt an aggressive strategy (always going for it on 4th). I think it caught the league off guard but now everyone has caught up so it's not unique anymore

I’d argue the extreme levels of talent and the two future head coaches coordinating helped too. They had a top 2 oline both of those years with ragnow Sewell and th other three, sonic and knuckles, Amon Ra, Jamo, best safety duo in the league in joseph and branch, Jack Campbell, Aidan Hutchinson, Alim McNeil was pretty good, Laporta led his position in TDs in his rookie year, and Goff was also pretty decent at qb

The going for it on 4th isn’t the end all be all and has even lost them games recently. They lost to the eagles because they went for it on 4th so much instead of just kicking the field goal

Yeah Joseph branch Laporta ALL went down this year and a few more I’m forgetting. Not to mention the oline went to shit after ragnow’s retirement and zeitler leaving
