I think it stems from the fact that Vrabel did more with less in terms of roster, looking at both rosters on paper the Bears do have better talent

Vrabel and also Liam Coen who shouldn’t be getting ignored whatsoever inherited teams with much worse rosters and one less win than what the Bears had the year before. On top of that the Bears (11) are currently 1-2 games back in wins compared to the Pats (13) and Jags (12). Don’t get me wrong he’s a fantastic head coach but I don’t know if he should get the award over these other two guys

I agree with these other commenters but don’t forget that Vrabel’s staff made Maye an MVP contender in year 2 after a 4 win season. Another feather in the cap.

Plus the patriots have so much success and the bears have so much failure.
