I just find it funny that Abdul Carter thinks he’s some role model considering he literally slept through meetings and got benched as a rookie for misconduct

You don’t have to be a role model to know that something is wrong and speak out about it. He’s stating his opinion, just as Dart did. We don’t have to agree with them or like them but both men have that right

“boo hoo hoo he slept through meetings” when the face of the franchise is publicly supporting a man who touches kids

At least he doesn’t support a child molestor

Yeah because getting benched is so much worse than publicly endorsing a child raping, baby eating, racist war criminal responsible for the deaths of countless innocents in Iran, children among them, as well as insanely high gas prices

I definitely think if you’re going to be taking the high road in a public debate and you want people to listen to your advice, your message would be a lot stronger if you were a good role model

I would much more readily listen to something Larry Fitzgerald has to say than what Antonio Brown would have to say

he never claimed to be a role model, he said he wanted his team & the world to know where he stands. i don’t blame him. i wouldn’t want the trump funk on me either. just say “shut up and dribble” we know you want to

I didn’t say that at all. I’m just saying the message would be a lot stronger coming from a Brian Burns or a Patrick Ricard than a guy who barely shows up to work

and not everyone who speaks up is gonna be perfect? if the criteria to have your voice be heard & respected is never fucking up (which being sleepy is far from the crime being committed by WAY too many other players) then none of us would get to speak.

like a man just got arrested for multiple counts of domestic violence, let’s not try to assault the character of a rookie just navigating this job for the first time.

There’s a difference between never fucking up and being a trustworthy well-respected person

And if Josh Jacobs decided now was a time to start lecturing teammates, I’d laugh my ass off

okay and if only people you respect can voice their opinions we wouldn’t have free speech. like? you completely discredit what he says because you have a personal gripe against him? ok. doesn’t make what he said any less true.

because Josh Jacobs is ACTUALLY who we need to focus are attention on for being a POS, and ur over here saying falling asleep makes someone untrustworthy. that makes me not trust YOU

I didn’t say he can’t voice his opinions. Im saying people are generally less likely to take his opinions seriously. You keep conflating what I’m saying with other things

the same scouts who trashed carter are the same people who said LB3 wasn’t a hard enough worker. look how that panned out? you base your whole opinion of someone off one moment & then work your damnest to say their opinions aren’t worth listening to. you’re weird.

It wasn’t one moment, it was reportedly a trend. A trend so strong that he was held out of a football game by a coach whose job was on the line based on the outcome of the game. Am I saying Carter is a bad person or that he can’t grow and be better? No. But yes, I’m saying that he is actively immature and not a dependable person, and therefore there is somewhat less gravity behind what he has to say when it comes to giving advice to other people

you're genuinely comparing a guy who slept through a meeting, but had a problem with his teammate endorsing a genocidal pedo, with someone who beats women and you don't understand how fucking stupid you sound
