With all these “studs” entering the league when do we just expect that if your team isn’t playoff tier then you’re on the block and how many years do you reasonably think a qb deserves to try and prove themselves within a system personally I think 5 but with “elite talent” that window feels almost like 3 years now and then we see Sam Darnold, Geno smith, and Kirk cousins going around and doing great what is the shelf life for bad teams before its rookie qb time?
I’d say it all depends on how the team is run and constructed. The Eagles are a perfect example of a team well run and constructing an offense that can utilize a QB’s strengths the most while hiding a lot of their QB’s weaknesses. I think Hurts is a good QB but he does have more limitations than top QBs but he also has strengths that some of those QBs don’t possess and the Eagles have found ways to make that work. For example in ‘22 with Steichen and ‘24 with Moore.
