Dolphins get achane on a 4 year 64 million 32 guaranteed contract. Impressed they managed that considering Halls is 3 year, 45.75 million and 29 guaranteed. Slightly more per year with 1.67 less guaranteed per year for a better rb, just a year longer

Doesn’t make any sense at all extending Achane when all signs point to a rebuild. By the time you get those pieces together he’s gonna be well outside of his prime

It makes sense. The rb market is shit. A top 5 rb, which achane 100% is (#1ypc with in Super Bowl era with a below avg o-line, huge receiving value) in the league has such a huge impact for your team but barely gets value, at best a 2nd round pick. You can’t get another achane, even with a first round pick, which you’re not getting in a trade, likely won’t provide you the impact a top 5 rb does. They believe they can get this team going by next year. Also at 24, could have 4 prime years easily
