like i said I doesn’t matter an not one should care because like 2% of people that listen to music listen to it for the lyrics. It’s all sound and melody and how it makes you feel. It’s rare for people to be like “ah yes this particular line touched me with the phrasing of it” 90% of the time if a lyric is a bar it’s because of the way it sounds in rhythm not the words they used

I personally don’t care about lyrics at all and listen to a lot of music in Gaelic, which I can’t speak a word of, but you’re delusional if you think only 2% of people care about lyrics

melodies and rhythm are fire but i'd say at least %50 of people do care about the lyrics of the music they listen to

okay i said that to make a point so i was exaggerating a lot. My favorite artist is Hozier and he has some of the best lyrics in the game. I do think a far majority of people do not focus on the lyrics of every song they listen to. Like 80%. Obviously most people pay attention to lyrics of a few songs they like but they probably mainly listen to music for the vibe

i mean more of every song they listen to. I would say everyone has at least one song they love the lyrics of but it’s not every song where they focus on what the words are saying

So 98% of people wouldn’t care what language their music is in? I have only English speaking friends and family, and I have never heard any of them listen to music outside of English. Are we all really part of the 2%. That’s insane if we are!!
