I went through something similar when I had to take a semester off due to health reasons. My parents didn’t berate me, but my mom was super passive aggressive about me not being in school and not working a full time job. I’ve learned that the stereotypical college experience isn’t for everyone. Our paths are all different, some people may take longer in school and some may not go at all, but no path is better than the others
