When I was 8, I put a bunch of water scavenger beetles in a jar without much else. I didn’t know what they ate and didn’t want to kill them flushing them down my sink drain, so they just slowly cannibalized each other on my dresser 😔

If it’s sealed and reopened, yes. If it has access to oxygen, not likely.

No. Bacteria can form on the surface that releases toxins into the air when it is disturbed. These are often aerobic bacteria so sealing it would if anything make it less likely. If they keep it circulating then it’s not an issue though.

I guess if it was sealed with enough oxygen in the top then yeah it would do the same thing.
