Taking care of myself out of practicality is starting to kick my ass when break hits. There’s no classes or work to go to, so why should I eat and bath and make my bed? It feels like there’s no point

I’m so glad some ppl resonate with this cause this is smth I realized like….a month ago. I thought my mental health gets so bad during the fall cause of seasonal depression, but the fall is when there’s a lot of breaks. Like no shit I feel terrible! I’m actively not taking care of myself and have no motivation to. Knowing doesn’t make it feel any better tho

My mom had a rule growing up where we weren’t allowed to use any screens until we had gotten dressed, cleaned our face and teeth, and got something to eat/taken our meds. Was annoying at the time but it’s a good system for not rotting over break.
