I can understand if you misinterpreted this post as being literal, but it’s definitely supposed to be humorous. I also understand that you don’t like the fetishization of autism, doing so doesn’t do justice to represent the difficulties of autism. But remember it’s ok to love yourself, and you don’t have to fetishize autism to do that

I think the subtext of this unusual use of the meme is that we all know those negative barriers in our lives intimately, we don’t need to educate each other on them, so this iceberg is the positive attributes we have trouble seeing in ourselves beneath the surface.
