For my tooth brushing averse friends. Does brushing your teeth make you gag? Sometimes when I’m brushing my teeth all of a sudden I’m hit with the need to gag / dry heave. I can’t brush more than an inch back on my tongue due to that too.

I have some dental issues due to a genetic condition and have to be super on top of keeping my teeth clean (even tho they get cavities no matter what) but this is newer. I’ve gagged when brushing my tongue for years, but now is happening when I brush my teeth/ gums too.

Could be psychological honestly. Not to discredit your experience at all, but unless there is an underlying gum issue that is causing sensitivity, probably subconscious.

Last night it happened when I was just brushing my teeth itself, it’s happened once with me brushing my gum too. It’s crazy. I’ll be brushing and focused on something else and all of a sudden my stomach heaves.

No. I just moved so I don’t have a Dr, dentist, etc to talk to set up yet.

Ya probs do that soon. Letting dental health go because of aversion for sensory or however it affects you can lead to further dental issues and spiral with itself :/ good luck
