Imagine being desperate and terrified about going into a doctor’s office for mental health help. You’re terrified that they’ll prescribe the wrong meds or not actually listen to you. That they’ll cause more hurt than help…then getting proven right…

That’s how I felt before I went to get help too and now I’m so glad I just went and there’s no need to think about all that. The doctor knows what they’re doing and studied their entire life for this stuff. Let them do the work and just trust

Well this is actually based off recent events in my personal life with the doctor for me and my partner and they caused us stress, treated us badly, and brought no help whatsoever. They made sexist remarks. Made assumptions. Over prescribed. Office mishandled our documents. Etc. So…yeah I literally was dealing with the aftermath today….

Not all doctors know their stuff apparently and I can’t just trust them afterall…some of them suck and cause you more heartache…now I gotta try and start over and HOPE I don’t deal with the same bs again…

Please do not take this as a sign to end seeking treatment, I did that for a while and shit got dark. Sadly mental health treatment is essentially in its infancy as a medicinal practice.
