Context: my brother is 13 with autism, I also have autism but I can function and understand things just a little bit better than he can I was bullied in elementary-middle school for it just like he is, and this boy is literally the sweetest thing he’s nice to everyone and is such a loving boy It hurts me because from what I’m told it’s physical, where for me it wasn’t all that physical (added context, im a woman) so it’s different in that way which honestly hurts me more, how could you be so-

fuck that's awful I'm so sorry! kind of dealing with something similar but it's not my brother, it's my stepmoms nephew so I don't have any relationship with him really. but he's such a sweet kid and it's so devastating hearing him talk about how afraid he is to go to school (which is a Christian charter). plus his whole family is conservative and he's definitely neurodivergent but they will not acknowledge it. everytime I see him I just try to listen and advise him on options for high school

you're an amazing sister for wanting what's best for your brother. I would try to contact his school to see if there's something they can do to handle it. unfortunately there are a lot of schools that just won't do anything about it and if that ends up being the case you can try and move him to a new one. also get him in therapy!! you're never too young to start, and the sooner you start the better! they can help him with his social skills, fine motor skills etc and it would be a support system!

Fucking hateful that you put your hands on literally the nicest person you can think of Let me figure out who tf these kids are For me personally the bullying made me suicidal, I don’t want that for him god I don’t want that for him He’s been talking about how he hates school now and wants to move away and it’s hurtful because he used to love school How do I deal with this how do I fix this?

What’s amazing for him is that his teachers are also ready to go to bat for him, I may not like this school district from when I was in it but I do appreciate how much his teachers and parapros care for him We used to have him in behavioral therapy as well and that just made it worse so we are kinda wary of putting him in therapy of any kind, he’s 13 but mentally he’s like 6 or 7 so I don’t know I plan to bring it up to my parents again though soon because yea this shit happened to me-

And I was much younger contemplating suicide and I just don’t want him to feel the way I did

yeah exactly, and regular talk therapy might be better! I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with behavioral therapy that sucks :(
