I have a strong fear of being misogynistic in ways that I’m not aware of. I spend a lot of time thinking and scanning my thoughts for traces of bias. I feel like it gets to an unhealthy extreme sometimes, like ruminating and beating myself over things.

It’s good to be conscious of those things but ultimately it comes down to truly understanding the idea of “i am not perfect but i will listen and learn”. misogyny is baked into this country and everyone perpetuates it in one way or another - just do what you can and don’t push yourself to be perfect

Society teaches people such deep misogyny so people are gonna have to go deep to undo that. This means you care, a lot. We need more people like you but I get it it can be exhausting and counterproductive if you don’t give yourself grace or rest. Don’t do it to exhaustion its okay to not overthink things and have a break. Coming back stronger will help you deprogram faster

there’s a phrase i heard recently that’s helped me kinda reprogram my thoughts. “focus on doing something good instead of doing nothing wrong.” do what you can to make changes you want to see in the world, but don’t let the fear of mistakes be your downfall
