Like if I want my real values to be associated with me, instead of assumptions, I have to now perform what my values are to others because they mis-identify me Like just because i’m cool they think i do coke. Cause i’m hot, a slut. I’m a sober virgin
Was anyone else not aware that almost everyone places a worth on other people and judged their values based on things like how they dress, where they go, how they seem?

I hate this so much bc performing feels inauthentic and people never seem to understand when I’m being earnest with them. So I keep my mouth shut and wait for people to ask or bring it up themselves, but they rarely do. And then everyone acts rly surprised when I care or know about anything in even moderate depth 😭

I like being mis identified I feel like it gives me power over the other person in a strange way

I’m curious, could you elaborate? I usually can’t stand the idea of being misunderstood. How do you manage to view it as power?/gen

yeah sure! part of me does not stand it when its my close friends but to me I don't want to take myself seriously enough to worry when random strangers do, I don't want my experiences in life to be cloaked with a layer of "everyone needs to know I experience life THIS way", I'd rather just have my own hidden world and if people enter that world good for them but if not thats also fine
